ELBA was founded in 1917 in the German region of Wuppertal and quickly dedicated itself to the production of lever arch files. Later, the company expanded its range with other types of filing products.
Today, ELBA is among Europe’s most recognised and popular filing brands. The products are known for their high quality and unique features that make organising both easy and efficient.
In 1998, ELBA was acquired by Bantex A/S, strengthening the brand’s position and development on the European market.
Innovation in closing systems and hanging files
ELBA constantly works to stay ahead of new market challenges. The brand is behind the development of the well-known RADO mechanism, which gives lever arch files unique closing strength and ensures a stable, upright position.
Another example of ELBA’s innovative approach is the invention of Pendel Registratur – the world’s first hanging file system, which revolutionised filing solutions.
