POLICY
Company policy on social responsibility, safety, quality and the environment
Oxford has been our flagship brand in exercise books and diaries since the 1930s and has earned its position thanks to unrivalled quality, perfectly adapted to users’ needs.
Elba, founded in 1917, offers ingenious products within office supplies.
In the Nordic countries, we also sell our local brands: Bantex and Linex, as well as lamps and accessories from Unilux.
A market undergoing rapid technological change
The increase in online commerce is impacting traditional distribution channels based on physical retail.
This technological revolution also affects every level of our value chain, including a general reduction in inventories, shorter delivery times, increased demands for product availability and the automation of information flows.
In addition, the vast quantities of wood fibres processed and used each year in our products in the form of paper or cardboard, as well as employees’ working conditions, represent major challenges across the entire value chain.
At the same time, our customers continue to place ever higher demands on our delivery reliability.
Action plan for climate, safety and responsibility
To ensure our continued existence, we must therefore adapt to all these changes while also striving to anticipate trends in the years ahead.
In addition to complying with applicable regulations, we feel a strong commitment to pursuing continuous improvements in order to:
Protect the health and safety of our employees.
Reduce the environmental impact of our products throughout the entire supply chain.
Prevent risks of accidents and pollution.
Be attentive to the needs and expectations of our customers, suppliers and consumers with regard to fair practices.
Ensure the company’s profitability.
Respect human rights and local communities.
Thereby promoting the principles of sustainable development in our cooperation with our partners.
This policy provides the framework for our business strategy, our long-term objectives and our annual reports.
